Mason County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky.As of the 2020 census, the population was 17,120. [1] Its county seat is Maysville. [2] The county was created from Bourbon County, Virginia in 1788 and named for George Mason, a Virginia delegate to the U.S. Constitutional Convention known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights".
The district includes the Mason County, Kentucky Courthouse, the Sheriff's office and the Presbyterian Church as well as residences known as Mechanic's Row and Doctor's Row. The district comprises 15 houses, three offices and one church.

Orangeburg is an unincorporated community in Mason County, Kentucky, United States. Orangeburg is located at the junction of Kentucky Route 1234 and Kentucky Route 1449 5.9 miles (9.5 km) south-southeast of Maysville. [2] The Milton Mills in Orangeburg are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [3]
