I would like to make this newspaper look as realistic and professional as possible so if anyone could give me a web site with FREE Microsoft Word 2007 templates that would be great. I also need to add pictures and ads. It must have a news, features, and a sports section. The articles must be in columns.

The Templates and Add-Ins dialog box from earlier versions of Word is still available, but it has been well hidden. The easiest method to open the dialog box is by clicking the Document Template button on the Developer tab, but first you may have to display the Developer tab (which you can do via File | Options | Customize Ribbon).
That's a poorly designed template. The picture area should use a Picture Content Control instead of a dumb grey shape. You can insert a picture over top of that shape, use it as a rough guide to sizing and cropping the photo, then delete the shape when the picture looks good.
Whether you use the program or not, you can still use the template, which was created using the Verdana typeface (my current favorite) and has lots of styles for editorial markup. If you want to use a different typeface with the template, just open the template in Microsoft Word and change the Normal style to the font of your choice.
If the issue happens to the normal template, please go to ~/Users/<your login name>/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Templates then move the normal template file to the desktop, relaunch Word app to see the result. Thanks, Rena-----
