prism launcher is ultimately based on the open source launcer multiMC, ive used multiMC for a LONG time and thats safe. recently ive moved to prism launcher from ATlauncher just cause thats when i discorvered prism (and i loved using multiMC and am familiar with the interface)

Prism never receives any login details. It's all done on Microsoft's side. I think Microsoft sends an access token or something that it verifies to let you play. The launcher knows nothing about who you are. Also, it's open source, so I'm sure someone would have noticed if there was shady code. It's just as safe as the vanilla launcher. 3. Reply.
it's fine. it accesses the clipboard because there's a button to copy a link to the clipboard. It's a worthwhile switch if you want to avoid the hassle. You could also use your old files from MultiMC if you wish since they seem to use the same format. multimc can no longer import modpacks from curseforge or ftb, prism launcher can. prism is a fork of polymc wich is a fork of multimc.
Just installed the AppImage. Made it executable, copied over the icon and desktop shortcut, pointed it to the pointed it to my PolyMC (nee MultiMC) folders, and everything was detected right away. Truly amazing work. Thank you all for everything. 5.

Everything is 100% safe until someone finds a security issue. If you download it from the github or the website, yes. (or ideally a package manager) You can check yourself if it does anything malicious if you want. Nothing is ever 100% totally safe but prism launcher should be fine.
I followed the instructions, and got the "successfully logged into prism launcher! You may safely close this window." screen. went back to Prism and got the notification listed above. Info: I use Steam Deck :) Proton 8.2, Qt 6.6.3, and yes I have a Microsoft Minecraft account. I tried again about 20x.
