"Real Love" is a song written by the English musician John Lennon, formerly of the Beatles. He recorded six demos of the song in 1979 and 1980 with " Real Life ", a different song that merged with "Real Love".
Free as a Bird" was recorded by Lennon in 1977, [5] in his and Ono's Dakota building apartment in New York City, but was not complete. Lennon introduced the song on the cassette by imitating a New York accent and saying, "Free—as a boid" (bird). [6] [7] The other songs were "Grow Old With Me", "Real Love", and "Now and Then". [8]
