Grandeur Peak is located eight miles (13 km) southeast of downtown Salt Lake City on land managed by Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Foreste. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's north slope drains to Parleys Creek, whereas the south slope drains to Mill Creek.
