The Molalla Log House, or the David Fox Granary, is a historic log cabin originally located in Molalla, Oregon. It represents perhaps the oldest extant building in Oregon if not the Pacific Northwest , built c. 1790 .
It was a showpiece in a period when most settler homes were much less elegant. Born in Kentucky, McCarver emigrated to Oregon in 1843, served as Speaker of the Provisional Legislature in 1844 and 1845, and was widely active on the American frontier.
