The International Motorcycle Shows are a series of motorcycle expositions that take place across the United States. The shows are open to the public and feature new products, services as well as new-model motorcycles, custom bikes, ATVs, cruisers, concept bikes, vintage bikes, and scooters. The 2008 Italian motorcycle Grand Prix was the sixth round of the 2008 MotoGP championship.It took place on the weekend of 30 May – 1 June 2008 at the Mugello Circuit.It marked Valentino Rossi's seventh consecutive victory at the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix, a run which was to be finally broken the following year by Casey Stoner.
The 2008 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 60th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season consisted out of 18 races for the MotoGP class and 17 for the 125cc and 250cc classes, beginning with the Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix on 9 March 2008 and ending with the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix on 26 October.
The 2008 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup was the tenth season of the FIM Superstock 1000 championship, the fourth held under this name. The FIM Superstock 1000 championship followed the same calendar as the Superbike World Championship , missing out the none European rounds of the championship minus the round at Vallelunga .

The 2008 Supersport World Championship was the tenth FIM Supersport World Championship season—the twelfth taking into account the two held under the name of Supersport World Series. The season started on 23 February at Losail and finished on 2 November at Portimão after 13 rounds.
