Glenn Lewis Frey (/ f r aɪ / FRY; November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American musician.He was a founding member of the rock band Eagles.Frey was the co-lead singer and frontman for Eagles, roles he came to share with fellow member Don Henley, with whom he wrote most of Eagles' material.
Born in Gilmer, Texas, Henley grew up in the small northeast Texas town of Linden. [4] [5] He is the son of Hughlene (née McWhorter; 1916–2003) and C. J. Henley (1907–1972), [6] and has English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry.
