MU has become almost irrelevant in football the past 20 years. My guess is that would have something to do with it…pretty easy to be positive when your winning/competing for championships every year. I don’t let basketball really get to me because tbh, MU bball has been irrelevant since I have been on this earth.

Haven’t heard much about the Herd’s non-con schedule for next year just yet, but looks like Ohio will be coming to Huntington in December. Always a solid opponent and fun local rivalry. Will update this thread when I hear/see more matchups

Billy Donovan - Loved working for Billy D, but he simply wasn't at Marshall long enough to get much higher on the list. Re-invigorated Marshall Basketball after the Freeman years, brought in ridiculous talent that continued to win under Greg White. Obviously went on to incredible heights at Florida and is very successful in the NBA.
I was in school in the early 80s. George Washington, Charles and our other players would have owned this league. I remember going to Asheville and putting up Herd Heaven signs for the conference tournament. Disappointed in the Appy loss today.
