The Mazda5 was rebranded in Asia as the Ford I-Max. This version of the vehicle was also introduced for sale in the United States, making it the first compact minivan in that market since the 1994 Mitsubishi Expo (in the United States) and 1995 Nissan Axxess (in Canada). The Mazda5 is marginally larger than the 1984–1989 Toyota Van.
The M5OD (Mazda 5-speed with Over Drive) [1] is a line of manual transmissions produced by Mazda and used in Mazda and Ford cars and trucks. Two variants, light-duty R1 and medium duty R2, were made. R1 transmissions have been used in the Ford Ranger, Explorer, Aerostar, and Bronco II.

Although Mazda is well known for their Wankel "rotary" engines, the company has been manufacturing piston engines since the earliest years of the Toyo Kogyo company. Early on, they produced overhead camshaft, aluminum blocks, and an innovative block containing both the engine and transmission in one unit.
The Skyactiv-G [7] is a family of direct injection petrol engines. The engine compression ratio is 14:1, except in the U.S. market where it is 13:1 so the engine can operate on regular instead of premium gasoline; the lower compression ratio reduces torque and fuel economy by 3 to 5 percent. [8]

MX-5 Miyako (2010) The MX-5 Miyako is a limited edition of the MX-5 Soft-Top Convertible available in two versions, the MX-5 1.8i Miyako and the 2.0i Miyako. 500 units of each were produced. The 1.8i Miyako features a MZR 1.8-liter engine and a powered retractable hardtop, while the 2.0i Miyako is powered by the MZR 2.0-liter engine.
