The West Chester University Poetry Conference is an international poetry conference that has been held annually since 1995 at West Chester University, Pennsylvania, United States. It hosts various panel discussions and poetry craft workshops , which focus primarily on formal poetry, narrative poetry , New Formalism [ 1 ] and Expansive Poetry .
After school, she began attending the West Chester State Teachers College, now known as the West Chester University of Pennsylvania, before transferring to Temple University in Philadelphia. In 1954, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She married Stanley Weintraub on June 6, 1954. They have three children.

Despite his original reluctance, the involvement of Richard Wilbur as the keynote speaker at the first conference in 1995 was a major reason for both its success and subsequent continuation.
Given annually since 2006 to one poet for an unpublished book-length manuscript of poetry, the award includes $1500, publication, and a scholarship to the West Chester University Poetry Conference. [4] The prize is named after poet Donald Justice.
