MetalCraft Marine (MCM) is an aluminium boat manufacturer located in Kingston, Ontario. In 2012, MCM opened a facility in Cape Vincent, New York after operating in Clayton, New York for many years. Founded in 1987 by Tom Wroe and Montgomery Smith, MCM has built vessels for organizations [ 1 ] and municipal fire departments.

Correct Craft released its first Ski Nautique boat, the first fiberglass ski boat, designed by Leo Bentz, in 1961. [ 3 ] [ 9 ] [ 5 ] It was the world's first tournament inboard ski boat. [ 1 ] In 1986, SeaWorld signed a contract with Correct Craft to supply Ski Nautique boats for ski shows at their marine parks.
Evans Deakin & Company was an Australian engineering company and shipbuilder. In 2019, the company was inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame in recognition of its major contributions to the Queensland economy for nearly a century through excellence in heavy engineering, construction and ship building.

Derecktor Shipyards has built three 65-ft aluminum catamarans powered by hybrid motors. The first was a research vessel for the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk named Spirit of the Sound, completed in September 2014. [7] The CUNY I, launched in May 2017, is used by Brooklyn College for research in the Jamaica Bay area. [8]
Aluminum and aluminum alloys are used both in sheet form for all-metal hulls or for isolated structural members. Many sailing spars are frequently made of aluminium after 1960. It is the lightest material for building large boats (being 15–20% lighter than polyester and 30% lighter than steel).
The company was founded in 1948 as an engineering supply company named North Queensland Engineers & Agents, then expanded in 1966 into shipbuilding and was renamed. [ 2 ] NQEA has built several ships for the Royal Australian Navy (including the Fremantle -class patrol boats and Leeuwin -class survey ships ). [ 3 ]
