Seth Babbitt (father) Elizabeth Babbitt (mother) Sarah "Tabitha" Babbitt (December 9, 1779 - December 10, 1853) was a Shaker credited as a tool maker and inventor. Inventions attributed to her by the Shakers include the circular saw, the spinning wheel head, and false teeth. She became a member of the Harvard Shaker community in 1793.
