Really made mower work much smoother. I have a really early 30", cone transaxle Dixon that I bought about 6 years ago with a blown engine for $250. I had an identical engine in great shape on an otherwise junk mower that someone gave me. I transplanted the good engine to the old Dixon and mowed in the same afternoon.

Mowingman said: No, Dixon is gone for good. There might be a few leftover, new mowers, in the pipeline somewhere, but production ceased last year sometime. Parts were pretty standard, off-the-shelf stuff. So, unless you need something like a frame, fender, fuel tank, or complete deck, I think you would be ok.

All of these features must be in the off or neutral position before the starter will turn over. After that clean the batery cable connections and clean. The first thing to check would be that the left-side handle with its linkages and the connections at the actuator is working as it should, sometimes a bolt or a nut can work its way loose and cause the linkage to develop play to where it no longer fully pushes the actuator ...

Hydro pump "chattering". I have a Dixon Ram Mag 50" mower with a 20 hp Honda engine. The left hydro pump has developed a chattering noise and loss of power while going up hill or if you push the sticks forward too fast. If it had gears I would say it feels as if the teeth were slipping by one another. That is the feeling I get from the sticks.
