GhettoWonderland. Replied on October 5, 2021. Report abuse. If you right-click somewhere on your taskbar and then click on Taskbar settings, there is a small menu with the title of Personalization/Taskbar. Among the items is Widgets (next to last).
Basically, I toggled the widgets off in Settings. Upon {Windows) start-up/boot Widgets.exe always return accompanied by msedgewebview2.exe but remain invisible to view eg. weather and other widgets. My workaround is each time my PC boots up, I use "task manager" and manually force close widgets.exe.
Photos Widget will, by default, show Onedrive memories - this is by design. If you click the arrows on the Widget, you can switch to This Week, Recent Highlights, etc. There is a paid Widget in the Store for Photos Slideshow, but I do not know if it is worth. AFAIK, Windows 10 doesn't have a built-in feature to display a clock widget in the desktop. I use an app, BeWidgets (I'm not advertising, I'm suggesting the app because it's my personal favorite) for this. It apparently used to eat up system resources. It may or may not have been fixed though.
