Barberton High School is a public high school in Barberton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Barberton City School District, serving 1,421 students in grades 9-12 as of the 2018–19 school year.

Eva Lee Matthews was born on September 9, 1862, in Glendale, Ohio. Her father, Stanley Matthews, was a Union officer in the Civil War and later became a Supreme Court justice. [1] He was elected to the U.S. Senate and the family moved to Washington, D.C., where Eva Lee Matthews attended Wellesley College. [3] As an adult, Eva traveled to Palestine.
The seminary was founded in 1905 as Bethany Biblical Seminary by A.C. Wieand and E. B. Hoff. While the two were traveling in the Holy Land overlooking the village of Bethany from the Mount of Olives in 1901–02, they decided to name the new Bible institute Bethany. Bethany moved from Chicago's inner city to a new campus in Oak Brook, Il. in 1964.
