The Buffalo Ridge Trail is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) trail on Traverse City's west side, in Garfield Township. In June 1946, Arnold, which ran from Mackinaw City to Mackinac, merged with Island Transportation Company which ran a St. Ignace to Mackinac Island route.
