Smith Intermediate School, for students in grades 5-6. Franklin Middle School at Hamilton Street was called Franklin Middle School, for students in grades 7-8.

The district boundaries are within Somerset Borough and the townships of Jefferson, Lincoln and Somerset. A small portion of Brothersvalley Township is in the district. It includes the Friedens census-designated place in Somerset Township. [1]
