On February 2, 2009 (), the Nick Jr. block rebranded as Nickelodeon's Play Date. NickJr.com continued to use the Nick Jr. brand name to categorize all of Nickelodeon's preschool programming. The block's new branding was designed by Melinda Beck, and many bumpers featured drawings, finger puppets or cupcakes.
