[2] It was founded by Arby Alper in 1967 on 912 acres purchased from the city of Henderson, and opened in 1970 as Sky Harbor Airport. [3] [4] Clark County bought the airport in 1996 and renamed it Henderson Executive Airport. [5]
Blvd is being developed by New York-based Gindi Capital, which also owns the Showcase Mall, located further south on the Las Vegas Strip. The Blvd site was previously occupied by the Hawaiian Marketplace, [1] opened in 2004.
