Glendale Heights was a small farming area served by the Glen Ellyn post office up until the 1950s, with a population of just 104 in 1959. [3] Midland Enterprises, run by Charles and Harold Reskin, started building houses in Glendale Heights in 1958. The Reskins bought two farms on Glen Ellyn Road north of North Avenue.

Gostyn (/ ˌ ɡ ɒ s t ɪ n / GOS-tin) is a community within the village of Downers Grove in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It is located along Fairview Avenue near Westmont . According to an 1889 directory, [ 1 ] the community was predominantly of Polish descent, with 575 residents.
It was incorporated as a village in 1980 and disincorporated in 2004, after which portions of the area were annexed into nearby Downers Grove. [3] It is typically defined as the area west of Denburn Woods and east of I-355 , in between Downers Grove and Woodridge .
Hinsdale is located 20 miles (32 km) west of Chicago and is bordered by Oak Brook to the north, and Burr Ridge and Willowbrook to the south, Western Springs to the east, Clarendon Hills and Westmont to the west.
