Starting in 2017 the Open Men's and Women's divisions began playing in one tournament, while the age-based divisions play in a separate World Championships. This allows the potential to be the world champion in both an Open division and an age-based division. [3] In 2017, the "Final 9" round was eliminated from the Championship format.
The Disc Golf Pro Tour was founded in 2016 by Steve Dodge and Nate Heinold. [1] The DGPT is the highest level of competition in professional disc golf . The tour currently operates two tours, the Elite Series and the Q-Series (formerly the Silver Series), both featuring men's and women's professional divisions.

On rare occasions, Sugarbush has hosted "Summerstage" concerts in the offseason. The Vermont band Phish performed at the resort on July 16, 1994, and the complete concert was released on the album Live Phish Volume 2 in 2001. [7] The band performed two more concerts at the venue in July 1995. [8] [9] Sugarbush has two top-rated disc golf courses.
