The NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation . Since its introduction in 1969 the tournaments have occurred every two years.

The North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) is the international governing body for the sports of volleyball in Northern America, Central America, and the Caribbean. NORCECA is the continental confederation that represents its 35 member associations at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) level.
Strafford forfeited its participation in the 2007-2008 MSHSAA State Volleyball Championships due to the use of an ineligible player. St. Mary's (Independence), which lost to Strafford 25–23, 25-12 for third place on the court, is officially recognized as the third-place finisher, and the fourth-place position is hereby recognized as historically vacant.
However, starting in the 2011–12 school year (2011 women's season, 2012 men's season), a Division III championship was established. The National Collegiate championship now involves only Division I and II members; under NCAA rules, D-II schools can compete under D-I rules in any sport that does not have a dedicated D-II national championship.
