Ghosts 'n Goblins, known as Makaimura [a] in Japan, is a 1985 platform video game developed and published by Capcom for arcades. It is the first game in the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise, and it has been ported to numerous home platforms. It was a major commercial success across arcades and home systems.

Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, known in Japan, Korea, Europe and Australia as Maximo (マキシモ, Makishimo), is a 3D hack and slash platform video game developed by Capcom for the PlayStation 2. The game is based on the Ghosts 'n Goblins universe and features original character designs by Japanese illustrator Susumu Matsushita .
Sharing similar gameplay to its predecessors, Makaimura also shares enemies, weapons and backgrounds from the previous three games. Unique features include diverging paths between the second and fifth levels, swimming in water, and a level which requires the player to rotate the WonderSwan by 90 degrees as Arthur climbs and swings down a rope in a vertical shaft.
