Mater Dei Hospital (MDH; Maltese: Sptar Mater Dei), also known simply as Mater Dei, is an acute general and teaching hospital in Msida, Malta. It was opened in 2007, replacing St. Luke's Hospital. It is a public hospital affiliated to the University of Malta, offering general and specialist services.

The Mater Dei Hospital, Malta's primary hospital, opened in 2007.It has one of the largest medical buildings in Europe. The University of Malta has a medical school and a Faculty of Health Sciences, the latter offering diploma, degree (BSc) and postgraduate degree courses in a number of health care disciplines.
The Mater Dei Hospital is located in the outskirts of Msida. It was inaugurated by the prime minister of Malta Dr. Gonzi in June 2007 and has a total floor area of 232,000m 2 and approximately 8,000 rooms. It also houses a teaching facility for the University of Malta.
