FortWhyte Alive is a reclaimed wildlife preserve, recreation area, and environmental education centre in southwest Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This 660-acre park is located along the migratory path of Canadian geese, and is named after the surrounding community of Fort Whyte. The Seven Oaks Arena is an ice hockey facility that opened in 2015. It was constructed at a cost of $18 million under a cost-sharing agreement between the City of Winnipeg, the provincial government, and the community centre.
