The Fiera Milano Rho complex was announced as the new speed skating venue of the 2026 Winter Olympics on 19 April 2023 after initial plans to put a roof over Ice Rink Piné had been rejected by the IOC. The event will be hosted at Halls 13 and 15, from which a single space will be created for speed skating, with seating for 6,500.

The Milan Innovation District site is about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northwest of Milan, in the municipalities of Rho and Pero, and covers an area of 1.1 km2 (0.42 sq mi). The site includes the reuse of the same exhibition areas used for Expo 2015 .
