    Run (Windows key + R) > %AppData% > Up one level from "Roaming" > Local > Delete anything EA related / Electronic Arts. Run EA App as Administrator. The real culprit seems to be files in the Log folder in ProgramData, which requires the EA Background service process to be killed in order to delete.

    @roberta591 It doesn't say that I don't own it just that its not installed I've tried to repair the app and the game and neither worked when I re-download the packs/kits and clear the cache they no longer show up as installed I've cleared the cache without downloading the packs and the same result I've restarted the game and the app and nothing has worked, Thank you though

    If that doesn't help, use Piriform's CCleaner (the free version is fine) to remove all traces of Sims 4 except for the user folder , the one in Documents > Electronic Arts. This folder contains your saves and other user data. The rest can be deleted; the App will download everything else again. I don't work for EA.

    make sure the game isn’t installed, go to downloads on the ea app in the settings and you can change where the download will go and you can make a new folder. when you go to install it, it will also ask for the download location and make sure it’s on that new folder. Reply. 2. + XP. Prev.

    When I try to download a game on the EA desktop app, I get one of two things. Either the download button is greyed out and it says "Loading...". Or when I can actually click the download button, the download says it has started at the bottom, but it just gets stuck on calculating time. The download doesn't show up on the download manager either.
