The Business Services Division processes the formation of Mississippi corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and other business and non-profit entities. It also grants certificates of authority for foreign companies who wish to do business in the State of Mississippi.

Under Mississippi law, all limited liability companies operating in Mississippi are required to file an Annual Report with the Secretary of State. This report can be filed any time on or after January 1st of each calendar year and is due by April 15th of that year.
