Sep 26, 2024. #1. I recently picked up a used 2023 Gibson SG Standard. I love the look and feel of the neck. It plays great and it's so much lighter than my Les Paul Standard. I can't stand the Gibson 498T and 498R pickups that are installed in the SG. Looking for either replacement humbuckers or P90s. I reached out to Wolftone and inquired ...

Dec 11, 2023. #19. Waxhead said: Having owned/played many filtertrons I say TV Jones and Gretsch make the best by far. Best pups made by anyone imo are TVJ Classic/Classic Plus combo. Why - cos they are the most versatile pups ever made for any music style, are low noise, have great clarity, are perfectly balanced, super smooth and look classy.

  6. Bare Knuckle Pickup Advice - The Gear Page

Their current pricing of $350-$380 for 2 pickups is not worth it. I have a set of Suhr aldrich, as well as Bare Knuckle "Holydiver", "The Mule" .. & others. If you want a sound similar to Aldrich's, you could try the Holydiver,... but again, at these Mar'2021 prices, is not worth it.

Why yes, yes you can: Of course, you don't HAVE to be sitting down to play one:

  8. Vox AC10 Review - The Gear Page

    www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/vox-ac10-review.1908588

It doesn’t sound cheap at all, it actually sounds very big for as small as it is. The 10” Celestion is decent, it’s no Greenback but it compliments the Vox chime well. The EQ is Bass and Treble and the range is very wide. The Bass adds a good amount of girth to the overall sound without making it muddy.

  9. Adjusting the height of P90 pole pieces - The Gear Page

    www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/adjusting-the-height-of-p90-pole...

Raising the pole pieces = more of a Strat/Tele tone. Brighter with a more open feel. If you have a dual-P90 guitar, like a Goldtop or Special, try raising the bridge pickup way up and keeping the neck pickup dropped down into the body (with the pole pieces raised). Almost a Broadcaster-like tone. Very cool.

  10. Red Panda Context vs. the others - The Gear Page

Messages. 321. Jul 16, 2014. #9. As a long time Context user, the only gripe I have about the Red Panda Context is that it's mono in and mono out. The build quality and sonic qualities of the pedal is second to none. Depending on the reverb setting, the knobs will do something a little different, but overall.

  11. Best Wampler Pedal IYO....... - The Gear Page

    www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/best-wampler-pedal-iyo.935905

As far as which is the best sounding Wampler pedal in general, I've owned almost every single currently available Wampler, and I promise you that almost every one was equally amazing sound. I only chose the Plextortion because I personally think it's is THE BEST sounding ultra high gain Marshall in a box distortion pedal, whereas the Faux Tape ...
