Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School was established in 1981 by the Rector and parishioners of St Cuthbert's Church Tweed Heads. In 1996 the Senior School relocated to its permanent site at Mahers Lane Terranora, with the middle school joining it in 1997. The Preschool opened at the Junior School Campus in 1998. [1]

Two schools are located there - Terranora Public School and the senior campus of Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School. Well known children's author, Hesba Fay Brinsmead , made her home in Terranora from 1976 until the early 2000s (she died in nearby Murwillumbah ).

It is part of the network of Anglican Colleges within the Diocese including Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Clarence Valley Anglican School, Bishop Druitt College, and St Columba Anglican School. The college was established with 16 students in 1998, and since that time it has grown rapidly, with enrolments reaching 420 in 2007.
