Amanda58 Mar 26, 2015 • 2:45 PM. Yes, I had numbness in my top right thigh and in the outer genital area. I was referred to a neurologist after my laparoscopic hysterectomy in October 2013, who told me that it was nerve damage. Apparently, the correct medical term is meralgia paraesthetica.
I am a 31 yr. old mother of four, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. I ended up having a partial hysterectomy, only leaving my ovaries. My recovery was awful...lots of problems..lots of pain. I started feeling good and then all of a sudden, the pain was back. Sharp pain in my lower abdomen, sex hurts, and I was starting to feel ...
Rabbitgal Dec 13, 2010 • 11:14 AM. Oh, my yes it is normal to have clips in. I have clips not only from hysterectomy, but from gallbladder surgery as well. They're harmless and necessary by and large. You can relax. 0 Reactions. Stephane Dec 13, 2010 • 11:50 AM. In reply to Rabbitgal's comment.
SomeDay1225 Dec 3, 2010 • 11:50 AM. I had my right ovary removed and then my hysterectomy 1 month later. There was a large tumor on the outside of my right ovary and they also removed the tube at that time. I remember feeling relief, almost an empty feeling, less pressure and bloating, and didn't experience any pain other than what was ...

She had a hysterectomy about 2 years after her diagnosis of IC to treat a uterine prolapse and afterwards her IC-like symptoms disappeared.
stephcp Feb 3, 2014 • 6:26 AM. I too have had both ovaries removed, but have a sharp, throbbing pain in my lower left pelvis--right around where my ovary was. I also have continued to have spotting, cramping and PMS-like symptoms despite being in surgical menopause. All scans, CA-125 and estradiol levels are normal.
Pain on right side Done with 6 rounds more or less of chemo for stage 3a ovarian cancer and I did have surgery back in may. I’m waiting on getting a scan and Ca-125 in a couple weeks.
Abdominal hysterectomy Nov 16th, and I'm going through the severe gas, bowel and BM pain. Knowing I'm not alone helps. Today I've started with a sharp pain to the left of my navel and incision. Thinking about calling the doctors office tomorrow - it's the day after Thanksgiving, but I hate to be a "pain". Anyone have a similar experience. Thanks.
Dear theterrier , your story sounds identical to mine, right down to our age, I too have the numbness in my thigh, and was told it was because they cut out lymhp nodes which usually means they cut into nerves and please be prepared it may get alittle better but, I pray we are among the lucky whom get that little extra feeling back.

My doctor said scar tissue from the surgery. It is only on the right side where the cancer was on my ovary. It seems to be getting worse that better.
