KODJ would be a good place for Jon Carter. Just a thought.... The scuttlebutt in another Utah radio discussion group is that JC was let go on or around June 16th with little fanfare. Regardless of whether he was terminated or left voluntarily, he most likely has a non-disclosure agreement that prohibits him from.
Ken's post says Carter was dismissed on May 26th, yet marconi's post dated June 25th says Jon was on KRSP "as late as week before last". That would have been the week of June 8th. The last post made on Jon's Facebook page is dated June 9th for an Arrow 103.5 event on June 12th. Something just doesn't add up.
The earlier thread talking about Jon Carter's plans after leaving KRSP is locked, so I'll post the news here. Today Jon Carter announced on his Facebook page that he will be the morning DJ at 104.1 Zion FM in St. George. So local listeners will have to go to the station's website and stream him if they want to hear him in the mornings.
Fire up the format wheel! RadioInsight predicting a change is coming to KYMV 100.7. Any ideas? Seems like all the good formats are already taken.
It's probably a coincidence but Jon Carter, who used to be on the Arrow, is on Zion FM now in St. George who does ten in a row classic rock. Mark Waldy, who also used to be on the Arrow, is on Classic Hits Rewind 100.7 who is also doing ten in a row. I haven't even really listened to the Arrow since I found out Jon wasn't there anymore.
This morning I started listening to my older John Mayer vinyl. He kind of lost me with his second album going forward, but his new stuff sounds promising. I also bought Bonnie Raitt's new album, good tunes there. The tempo slows down a lot from the album open though, which was kind of a disappointment.
Probably time for my semi-annual rant about how they slight AM radio. From ksl.com: "Tune in to KSL NewsRadio at 102.7 FM or via the KSL NewsRadio app." No mention of 1160 AM (which c
Was having a discussion with a friend an he thinks that a John Tesh concert would be quite successful in the Salt Lake area and I just can't be convinced. So I thought I would see what others thought. I know John Tesh has held concerts here before but I have not been able to find anything telling me how well it went. Let me know your thoughts....
As far as Urban stations go there's an even bigger difference than just comparing The Beat to Vegas' Q100.5. Vegas has 4 stations listed as Urban Contemporary plus a Hip Hop station and a Classic Hip Hop stati
I was dial surfing Sunday evening and there was a ball game on 106.7. At first I wondered if they'd changed formats. After listening for a while, I realized it was the Denver Broncos' broadcast. The
