The film follows the story of a single father, Aaron (played by James Martinez), who discovers that his 12-year-old hemophiliac son, Tate (played by Trevor Stovall), has been infected with a rare blood disease. As Aaron struggles to find a cure for his son's illness, he starts to notice strange changes in Tate's behaviour.
