The 2024 Durand Cup (also known as IndianOil Durand Cup due to sponsorship ties with the Indian Oil Corporation) was the 133rd edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, and the third edition since it was supported by the Asian Football Confederation.
Mohun Bagan is the most successful team in Durand Cup, having won the title 17 times. Mohun Bagan is also the only Indian club to have won Durand Cup three consecutive times on two occasions. They are also the first Indian civilian club to be invited to participate in the Durand Cup.

The 2024 IndianOil Durand Cup group stage will be played from July to 31 August 2024. Brazilian forward Marcos Rudwere opened the scoring for Lajong, but Nandhakumar Sekar equalised for East Bengal. However, Figo Syndai scored the winner for Lajong as East Bengal was eliminated from the tournament. [60]
The 133rd edition of Durand Cup saw fifth appearance of Bengaluru FC. In the previous edition, the reserve squad representing Bengaluru failed to progress further in the tournament after finishing second in the group stage. For the 2024 edition, the 26-member squad consisting of senior team players was announced on 27th July. [29]
