Re: UMS on an Android TV. by Nadahar » Mon Dec 07, 2020 6:11 pm. While it's possible to use UMS' web-interface, that's not the "main" way of accessing UMS. UMS is a UPnP AV/DLNA server, so you need a UPnP AV or DLNA client. "Smart" TVs usually have this built in, called "Media Player" or whatnot.
If the file plays then your TV is compatible and you can make sure that format is in the config file as supported. If that fails then the file will have to be transcoded, Try the other transcoding options in the #-TRANSCODE-# and see what works. I did see this in the logs, might be the cause but not sure.
