Montebello Bus Lines consists of 8 routes in the San Gabriel Valley Central and West. Montebello Bus Lines fixed route services can broadly be divided into three types: Major Local Services, Minor Local Services, and Peak Express Service. Routes 10, 20, and 40 are the major service routes. Routes 30, 50, 60, and 70 are the minor service routes.
Line 67 was cancelled in August 1998. The majority of the route was duplicated with Lines 65 (later Line 665), 66, 104 (later Montebello Bus Lines Line 50), and 362 (later Line 62). Starting on June 2025, Line 66 will be rerouted on Olympic Bl making it identical to the former Line 67 route. [7]
On June 9, 1940, service in Indiana was converted to buses and removed. That same day, it was rerouted in Illinois, replacing the streetcar portion of Route 32, and the route was renamed 30 South Chicago-Ewing. Route was converted to buses on June 30, 1947, and 30 South Chicago-Ewing merged with 25 Hegewisch to form the 30 South Chicago in 1952.
The first intercity bus station in Chicago was the Union Bus Depot, which opened in 1928 at 1157 S. Wabash Ave. [2] Greyhound Lines and other operators used the station from 1928 until 1953. While the bus facilities are long gone, the station building itself still exists as of 2023. [1]
Line 470 was replaced with Line 318 limited (Wilshire/Western-Downtown LA-Whittier-Brea Mall via 6th Street/Whittier Boulevard), later by Metro Rapid line 720. Line 471 was transformed into a local line between Puente Hills Mall and Brea Mall. Line 471 was eventually handed over to Foothill Transit and now operates as Route 285.
