Christian Death is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles County, California, in 1979 by Rozz Williams.With major line-up changes over the years, Christian Death has retained "a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality".
Rozz Williams (born Roger Alan Painter; November 6, 1963 – April 1, 1998) was an American singer and songwriter known for his work with the bands Christian Death, Shadow Project (with musician Eva O), and the industrial project Premature Ejaculation.
He also played guitar in Poop (with Scott Hoogland, former frontman of the influential Orange County band The Mechanics) and the reunited Detours. After playing in Christian Death 1334 with James McGearty and Eva O, Agnew joined the new lineup of Voodoo Church as second guitarist and performed on their 2009 album Eminence of Demons. [11]
In 2002, Valor produced an album by Maitri, black metal and death rock band Lover of Sin, releasing the studio album Lover of Sin. For Christian Death's 2003 tour, they added Cradle of Filth guitarist Gian Peres to the line-up. [citation needed] In 2007, the band released the American Inquisition studio album, featuring new drummer Nate Hassan. [4]
