Sk8 (also known as Skate) is a teen drama series that aired on NBC's TNBC Saturday morning programming block from October 6, 2001 to January 5, 2002 with 13 episodes produced. The show continued in reruns until TNBC's dissolution and replacement by programming leased from Discovery Kids by NBC starting in September 2002.
SK8-TV is a program shown on Nickelodeon that began in 1990 and was originally hosted by Matthew Lillard (who went by the name Matthew Lynn at the time) and Skatemaster Tate. It was a skateboard variety show that featured on-set interviews as well as off site action segments.

Tate later became the Host of SK8-TV, a half-hour television show on Nickelodeon, with co-host Matthew Lynn. The show only lasted one season and was pulled after 13 episodes. Since his departure from SK8-TV, Tate has also recorded with such acts as Porno For Pyros and was a producer for the acid jazz group The Stone Boners.
After high school, Lillard was co-host of a short-lived TV show titled SK8-TV, and afterwards was hired as an extra in Ghoulies 3: Ghoulies Go to College (1991). In 1994, he was cast in the John Waters black comedy Serial Mom.
