Caravaca de la Cruz (Spanish: [kaɾaˈβaka ðe la ˈkɾuθ] ⓘ), often shortened to Caravaca, is a town and municipality of southeastern Spain in the region of Murcia, near the left bank of the River Argos, a tributary of the Segura.
Basilica of Vera Cruz (Spanish: Basílica de la Vera Cruz) is a Roman Catholic Church (minor basilica) in town Caravaca de la Cruz. The church was given the title of minor basilica by Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments on December 3, 2007. [1]

The Murcia Province quarterings and a central inescutcheon were standing for: Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cieza, Lorca, Mula, Totana, La Unión, Yecla and the City of Murcia (inescutcheon). The crest was the Spanish Royal Crown. Its usage ended with the adoption of the current symbols of the autonomous community on 9 August 1982.
