Seem to have a similar issue in that I cannot use my mic for any audio in chrome despite in the browser settings it being set to permit and also all windows privacy settings that i can see. Similar behaviour for external USB headset and also inbuilt laptop mic. Works perfectly in edge/IE or FF.

I am also having same issue. my mic works on other conferencing apps like zoom etc. But not working for Meet.google.com. in settings, it is showing no mic is found. But without a mic, how other apps are working i am not sure. Google needs to check this issue and give a auto suggestion for trouble shoot.
