  2. 7mm Rem Mag vs. 6.5 Creedmoor | Sniper's Hide Forum

    www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/7mm-rem-mag-vs-6-5-creedmoor.6631324

I've come to the decision that I will be buying a Tikka T3x for this upcoming deer and elk season. The only problem is that I can't decide between a 7mm Rem Mag, or 6.5 Creedmoor. I have been very successful on elk hunts with the 7 mag, but have not had the opportunity to shoot a 6.5 Creed. I...

  3. 6.5 PRC vs 7mm RM - 24HOURCAMPFIRE

    www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/14950032/6-5-prc-vs-7mm-rm

The 6.5 PRC case is a good design for 6.5 projectiles and if one was to want a 22-inch barreled alpine rifle it would be more suitable for carry than a 7mm Rem Mag which will require a minimum 24-inch. As far as long distance muscle the 7mm Rem Mag will come out on top.

  4. New build options. 6.5 vs. 7 PRC? | Sniper's Hide Forum

My son just built himself a new 6.5mm PRC rifle. 24” Proof carbon fiber barrel and a Zermatt TL3 short action. Now he wants me to build one to go shooting with him. My question is if I should stick to the 6.5 PRC or opt for 7 PRC? Pros and cons? I know the 6.5 has less recoil. I like. I’ve...

  5. 7mm Remington Magnum vs 6.5 Creedmore - Sniper & Sharpshooter...

In the second scenario, yeah it'll work great. A guy recently won an ELR shoot against 50bmg's, Cheytacs, and every other mode of ELR hammer with a 7 rem mag. So they can perform if you have the skill set to load for them. They are a little finicky. Being a dated belted mag doesn't help them in that regard.

  6. 6.5 PRC vs 7 PRC...your thoughts? - 24HOURCAMPFIRE

F Class John has been experimenting with his friend's design called the 7mm-3DP, which is also based on 6.5 PRC brass. The 7mm Short PRC (McWhorter 7SPRC) caught my eye awhile back. Just neck up 6.5 PRC brass to 7mm. Choose from Lapua, ADG, or Peterson brass.

Wanting to do just a straight neck down to 6.5, no other altering of the case. Think 3100-3200 from a 22" barrel with 147's or 156's is doable. Light barrel (CF) and stock, 10 LBS all up except bipod. Ideally a hunting rifle, but will kill alot more steel than anything. Want to use standard...

  8. Range Report - 7mm Creedmoor | Sniper's Hide Forum

    www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/7mm-creedmoor.6900922

Is there any recent data/experience out there on the 7mm Creedmoor? All of the information I have found is a couple of years old, I’m curious if it’s no longer talked about because of better options of some other reason. I recently bought a Fix by Q, purpose of the rifle for me is hunting and...

  9. 6.5x 300 Weatherby or 7mm- 300 Weatherby - Sniper & Sharpshooter...

6.5 vs 7mm-300 The question is which is better a 6.5 or 7mm-300 Wby. I have both 300 and 7mm, as well as, 270 Wbys. While I love to shoot my big caliber, I have recently switched to custom 264 rifles. First off, the 7mm-300 is a 7mm STW minus the rounded shoulders. Both the 6.5 and 7mm bullets have very good long range ballistics.

  10. Range Report 6.5 SAUM vs. 7mm Rem SAUM vs. 7mm WSM - Sniper's...

    www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/6-5-saum-vs-7mm-rem-saum-vs-7mm-wsm.6472756

I've seen on a variety of pages that the bolt face is compatible with 300WSM, 270WSM, 7MM WSN, and a number of others to include 6.5 SAUM or 7mm Rem SAUM, of which the last two are the most interesting to me because I've read they have longer barrel lives than the standard WSM's and their ballistics are better.

  11. 7 LRM vs 7-300 PRC | Sniper's Hide Forum

    www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/7-lrm-vs-7-300-prc.7104127

The 7-300 would be a 300 PRC case, necked down to accept a 7mm bullet. That may be the case if you're running mid-weight bullets with traditional powder...but a 280AI is going to fall quite a bit short, significantly short, of a 7Rem Mag with a heavy bullet and the right powder for the job.
