Shippensburg University CDP is a census-designated place [15] that is located in Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is situated just north of the borough of Shippensburg and covers the campus of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
Shippensburg is located in south-central Pennsylvania primarily in Cumberland County, but extending west into Franklin County. U.S. Route 11 passes through the center of town as King Street; US 11 leads northeast 20 miles (32 km) to Carlisle, the Cumberland County seat, and southwest 11 miles (18 km) to Chambersburg, the Franklin County seat.

Seth Grove Stadium is a stadium on the campus of Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The stadium is named for the late J. Seth Grove, former faculty member and coach at Shippensburg. The stadium was built in 1972 and has a capacity of 7,700. 6,700 seats in the main grandstand and 1,000 seats on the visitors’ side of the field.
In 1937, the route was extended west from Boiling Springs to US 11 in Mooredale. US 11 and PA 33 switched alignments between Shippensburg and Carlisle in 1941, with PA 33 designated onto the present-day route west of Mooredale. In the 1960s, PA 33 was decommissioned and PA 174 was extended west to US 11/PA 533 in Shippensburg.
The route turns north and has an interchange with I-81 before it continues into Shippensburg, where it has a brief concurrency with U.S. Route 11 (US 11) and PA 533 in the downtown area.
