The Civil Process Unit distributes protective orders and other legal documents filed with the Sheriff’s Department throughout Cook County. The Eviction, Levy & Warrant Units, on the other hand, enforces orders received from the circuit court.

At the top, you can also refer to the phone number or address of the office where you filed your service of process. Locate the reference number before calling.
If your service was not served due to the COVID-19 threat or due to the Governor's and Chief Judge Evans' orders, you can file the papers again with our office by selecting FEE WAIVER and uploading the proof of service from the Cook County Sheriff's Office Civil Process Look Up for your service.
