Gale Harold BOYCOTTS QAF Livestream Reunion The US cast of Queer as Folk are set to reunite to help raise money for CenterLink, a charity which provides services to LGBTQ people left vulnerable to coronavirus, such as the elderly, homeless and people with underlying health conditions.
I don't think it's that Gale Harold or Thea Gill couldn't attend (I mean, it's not like they're working) but it's probably more of a case that they didn't want to attend. Gale is fairly introverted and I don't think he enjoys public appearances. While he has taken part in cast reunions over the years, he's usually fairly reserved a quiet.
Harold, as R9 correctly noted, had a major role on Desperate Housewives but got into a serious motorcycle accident and was written off the show. His career never recovered from that though he had roles on several CW shows after. For a long time he was the topic of numerous Chalamet-Hammer like threads on DL manned by your usual stalker frau types.
[quote]Randy Harrison and Gale Harold are fucking irritating. Screw both of them. I would think most people's minds would go directly to Charlie Hunnam and Aidan Gillen when a QAF rimming scene is mentioned.
Gale Harold did a few things (Vanished, Desperate Housewives, Hellcats, The Secret Circle, Defiance) along with a handful of cameos. Hal Sparks did several guest spots, and a couple of series I never heard of. Randy Harrison hasn't done much at all (one series "New York Is Dead" and a few guest spots or bit parts).
I know he isn't the best actor, but it seems he's done little to nothing since QAF ended years ago.Does he even act anymore, or is he so rich that he doesn't have to?
Besides the horrible, mostly unfunny writing of the american version, that series had mostly terrible actors. Randy Harrison, with his bizarre Ellen Degeneres haircut, was average not good. Gale Harold was terrible, no range or emotion, vaguely goodlooking but smug and arrogant, cringe worthy acting.
The creators of QAF were surprised how popular it was, especially with women. It opened a lot of minds to be more sympathetic since the characters were so appealing. The actors were surprised too and the attention was a little overwhelming for Gale Harold & Randy Harrison.
Well, duh. It's obviously fan-made. Showtime doesn't own the rights for Queer As Folk. Russel T. Davis owns the rights, since he's the original creator of the franchise when he created the UK version.
