    On 16th April 2009 BBC appear to have released a new version of iPlayer - iPlayer desktop based in part at least on Adobe AIR. Can anyone add anything covering the technology and reason for change? All I can add is that the like the old version iPlayer Desktop does work when situated outside the UK if connected to a UK based VPN.
