Television in Kazakhstan was first introduced in 1958. There are 116 private channels and 4 national commercial television. Qazaqstan is the State Television Channel of Kazakhstan. Other country-wide television stations are Khabar and Yel Arna. Gakku TV and Toi Duman are music channels dedicated solely to only airing music produced in Kazakhstan.

Channel 7 (Kazakhstan) Channel One Eurasia ( Kazakh : Еуразия Бірінші арнасы/Eurazia Bırınşı Arnasy , Russian : Первый Канал Евразия/ Pervy Kanal Evrazia ) is a local Kazakh television station that has been in operation since October 1997.
At the time broadcasting was limited to five hours a day. By 1987 Kazakhstan was ranked fourth among all Soviet republics by the amount of broadcasting, and second by the number of feature films and documentaries produced. Qazaqstan TV used to operate two national channels: Kazakhstan-1 (since 2017, Qazaqstan) and Kazakhstan-2.
Khabar 24 was opened at the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev in somewhere around late-June 2012. It began broadcast tests on 3 July 2012, as the Kazmedia center; it began fully airing on 1 September 2012. Khabar 24 was initially broadcast through the national network satellite and radio digital broadcasting "Otau TV".
Channel 31 is a Kazakh nationwide broadcast television station that is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Channel 31 consists of news and thematic programs in both Russian and Kazakh, as well as movies, series, talk shows, and children's, cultural, historical and entertainment programs.
