Yap State is the westernmost state of the Micronesian Federation. Further eastwards in order are the states of Chuuk , Pohnpei , and Kosrae . It consists of the four main islands of Rumung, Maap, Gagil-Tamil, and Yap Proper (Marbaa') and 134 smaller islands southwest and east of Yap.
