The station is the terminus of line E of the Metro, which provides a direct connection to the centre of the city of Porto. The station is at the end of a short branch off line B of the Metro, which it joins at Verdes station , sharing tracks variously with lines A, B, C and F for the rest of its route. The line opened on 27 May 2006.
