Saluri Koteswara Rao, known professionally as Koti, is an Indian composer and singer who predominantly works in Telugu films . He has composed music for over 528 films. [ 1 ] The son of veteran and a composer S. Rajeswara Rao , in early 1980s Koti teamed with Somaraju (Raj), son of T. V. Raju , and the resulting duo was known as Raj–Koti . [ 1 ]
Indian 2 is the soundtrack album composed by Anirudh Ravichander for the Indian Tamil-language film of the same name, directed by S. Shankar, starring Kamal Haasan. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. Anirudh was chosen to compose the songs, during the pre-production works of the film in November 2017.
The music for the film, including the 9 songs, was supplemented by a background score where the lyrics of the songs were based on the dialogues on screen. Dhrupad was the main form of northern Indian classical music until two centuries ago when it gave way to the somewhat less austere khyal, a more free-form style of singing. Since losing its main patrons among the royalty in Indian princely states, dhrupad risked becoming extinct in the first half of the twentieth century.
